Ball lightning

I read an article about ball lightning in the Wisconsin State
Journal. Ball lightning looks like a small ball of gas. It frequently
appears after lightning strikes the ground. It can be pear shaped or in
a ball. The balls seem fuzzy and they come in lots of colors. They are
the size of a baseball to a basketball. They seem to float in the air.
Scientists have tried to produce ball lightning in the lab, but they
can't. We do not know what causes ball lightning. Recent research says
that maybe ball lightning may just be spots in people's eyes after a
bright lightning flash.
