Wolves on Isle Royale

Since last year two of the four Isle Royale wolf packs have
disappeared. This is significant because each pack only has one breeding
pair. Wolves on Isle Royale eat moose, and the moose population has
decreased in the last few years. It is too early to tell if climate
change is impacting this, but the hot summers and the increased numbers
of ticks have decreased the moose population.
Isle Royale is a national park in Lake Superior. I got my
information from The Wisconsin State Journal of Friday, April 23, 2010.
